Actually many of us lie to ourselves daily whenever we believe the thoughts and ideas about ourselves that are contrary to the truth...not the truth of what you believe or hear...but the TRUTH that comes from GOD's WORD.
But Paul reminds us that we are to “renew our minds daily”...so that means everyday I must remind myself and soak myself in truth...God’s Truth, and that takes faith to believe and it’s this faith in believing that is so pleasing to Him.
Here is a lie that I believe, “I am missing out on what God has for me”...it's a subtle yet deep thought that runs through my subconscious mind and it affects my peace and therefore affects my fruitfulness. It can cause me to doubt the goodness of God at times...just being honest.
Here is the truth that I must diligently use to take that thought captive and replace it with God’s truth…
HIS TIMING IS PERFECT (Isaiah 60:22)
THE GIFTS AND CALLING OF GOD ARE IRREVOCABLE (Romans 11:29)
HE IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING ME (2 Peter 3:9)
HIS PLANS are PLEASING , PERFECT AND GOOD (Romans 12:2)
HIS FAVOR IS FOR A LIFETIME (Psalm 30:5)
The difference between just speaking a positive affirmation over myself vs. using God’s Word...is the difference between a limited source vs. unlimited power.
Take time to listen and search for the lies you may be believing about yourself or your situation...and then CRUSH THEM with the power of God’s Word.
